India's crop is about equal parts Arabica and Robusta. The higher grade coffee's are mainly washed and almost all mountain grown. The remaining coffee is generally referred to as cherry or native cherry. These coffee's are processed by the dry method. Agriculture is of extreme importance to the Indian economy. Most farms are small and family owned. Most of India's export coffee makes it's way to the former Soviet Union and Europe.
